Well thanksgiving is over and I’m finally done eating turkey leftovers. This can only mean one thing, Christmas is soon upon us.
I wait until after thanksgiving to really start thinking about Christmas. I know some stores start offering Christmas decorations in October, but I guess I’m a little old fashion on that.
So this weekend I started to take out all of the decorations. I’ve gotten better over the years in storing and organizing them. I use plastic bins and label what room they are for. Its much easier to put up and take down all of the Christmas ornaments this way. Plus I can do a room at a time without tearing open boxes looking for the ornaments for the room. Much easier to pace myself
Our tree is a bit traditional and a little strange too. We of course have your Christmas ball and lights up, but we also have odd and personal ornaments too. We are hockey fans so we have some decorations from our favorite team. I’m also a Mustang convertible fan, so there are 2 of those on the tree. Of course we have babies first Christmas balls up (which are now 20 years old, how time flies). There are also decorations the kids made whent hey were younger and 2 Christmas ball from our tree when we were kids.
We also have various ornaments from vacation spots and favorite movies. We have Hans Solo shooting at Spiderman, strange.
Any ways, time to go in the basement and start bringing this stuff up. Happy holidays!
