Do It Yourself Wedding Invitations

I saw something in the paper the other day about weddings. With these tough economic times, people are obviously cutting back on their spending anyway possible. The days of charging your life away and worrying about the bill are long over. Now one has to watch very carefully where their money goes.

Weddings are very expensive. Many people are trying to find ways to cut back on spending on a wedding, but at the same time they want to make this once in a lifetime event special.

One way the bride and groom can save money and by making it special and very person is by designing their own wedding invitations. The do it yourself wedding invitations movement has really caught on recently.

Designing and creating your own wedding invites you can make it very special and personal. It is much easier to do these days than say 20 years ago. It’s easier because there are now computer programs you can use to design and layout wedding invitations. Over 20 years ago, you would all be huddled around a kitchen table with glue and scissors, yuck.

You can take the time to design them at home and work with them a bit. When you are satisfied with the design, you can load it on to a USB memory stick and bring it to your local printers or a Kinko’s. There they can bring your invites to life.

This is something to think about. It’s a great way to save money, plus a way to have something personal and unique for your special day.

Tiger Woods, marriage and sleeping

So, has anyone heard any stories about Tiger Woods lately? Seems like golf’s golden boy certainly has done a major job in messing his life up. Not to mention of course, the lives of his wife Elin and their 2 young children. What started out as a strange Thanksgiving Day 1 car accident has exploded into such a public mess.

What makes someone in the public eye do something sooooo stupid? Was it the fame, thinking he was invincible? Was it perhaps a case of entitlement? People put sports figures and actors and such on pedestals and those people think they can get away with things.

This doesn’t look like your “normal” marriage problems. It wasn’t like he was just seeing 1 woman. This appears to be a serial thing with him. Last I’ve heard it up to 10 women now.

What I find interesting is that they are both still in the same house. In addition it seems his mother-in-law is camped out there too. There has to be some serious tension in that house, I don’t care how big it is. It must be extremely uncomfortable for everyone there. I can’t imagine anyone there able to fall asleep quickly in that house! I mean really. This is a woman who used a golf club to break the windows on an SUV. I might be sleeping with one eye open for a while.

It’s a sad tale for Tiger (ok, pun intended) and his family.
